Get explicit, informed consent before connecting a bank account, hand the user off to the provider's secure authentication, and clearly reflect the outcome — success, cancellation, or failure.
States
- **Default**: consent copy + "Connect" action, before authentication starts.
- **Connection successful**: confirmation state, proceeds to SCR-RECON-04.
- **Connection cancelled**: user backed out of provider authentication; can choose another method.
- **Connection failed/expired**: retry action or switch to a different capture method.
Acceptance criteria
- The screen explains clearly, before authentication starts, that the connection is secure and what Dovel will access.
- After completing provider authentication, the user lands on a "Connection successful" state and proceeds to SCR-RECON-04.
- If the user cancels authentication, a "Connection cancelled" state is shown with the option to choose another expense capture method.
- If the connection fails or expires, the user can retry or choose a different expense capture method.
- Only a secure reference to the connection is stored — raw bank credentials are never stored by Dovel.
