• User can filter results to a single category (e.g., Projects, Transactions, Documents); the app re-calls GET /search with the category parameter and shows only matching records.
• System preserves the original query term in the search input when the category filter is applied or changed.
• User can switch to a different category or return to 'All' results, triggering a new GET /search call and updating the list accordingly.
• If the selected category returns no matches, the system shows a category-specific empty state and the user can switch categories without losing the query.
